Meet our Staff
Lisa Crisp
Lisa Crisp DC BSc (Hons) Doctor of Chiropractic has a keen interest in sports. Whilst she competed with Lincoln Imps Trampoline Club it was through this that she was introduced to chiropractic. A trampolining injury caused her to seek treatment and she was quickly back on the trampoline and competing again. It was this 'unlucky' injury that inspired her to become a chiropractor herself. At the time she was studying for a degree in Health and Sports Studies, which gave her a good foundation to undertake the chiropractic degree. Lisa graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2006. Since then Lisa has been working in Lincolnshire as a chiropractor and has undertaken more courses to further her knowledge and expertise. Lisa also has an interest in Applied Kinesiology which involves muscle testing to uncover dysfunction in the body.
Although Lisa has retired from trampolining she still sees the importance of keeping up with an active lifestyle.
Amy Stratton
Amy Stratton DC BSc (Hons) Doctor of Chiropractic graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2007 and moved to Lincoln immediately to embark on her career. During her chiropractic career she has developed a keen interest in soft tissue injuries and has developed her knowledge of sports injuries and rehabilitation. She is a certified Graston practitioner and often uses this specialised soft tissue technique alongside Kinesio Tape. (Amy has completed all three Kinesio Tape modules.) The Graston Technique is relatively new to the UK but is very popular in the US. Amy earned her certification in the US, and is currently one of less than one hundred certified practitioners in the UK. Amy loves music and plays the guitar and didgeridoo.
Mark Jessop
Mark Jessop DC BSc(Hons) MChiro. Doctor of Chiropractic. Mark first discovered chiropractic after seeking treatment for a back injury sustained whilst training for 400m hurdles. The treatment he received intrigued him to such an extent that after completing his initial degree in Chemistry and Sports Science he then went on to persue a career as a chiropractor by enrolling on the four year masters course at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. Since graduating Mark has also completed a diploma in medical acupuncture, which is a therapeutic modality involving the insertion of fine needles. It is an adaptation of Chinese acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy and physiology and the principles of evidence based medicine. Marks likes to keep up to date on current research and has recently completed a PG Cert in clinical development. Still a keen runner, Mark can often be found running the streets of Lincoln.
